Dear Valued Pet Owners,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Gulf Coast Veterinary Cardiology, effective March 27, 2025. This decision was difficult, and we want to extend our deepest gratitude for the trust you placed in us to care for your beloved pets over the past 7 years.
We are dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition for all our clients and their pets. Until our closing date, we will continue to provide care for pets with heart disease. Over the next several weeks we will be contacting owners with current appointments after March.
We strongly encourage you to seek alternative veterinary cardiology services moving forward. To view a list of board-certified veterinary cardiologists by location please visit https://www.vetspecialists.com/
To request a copy of your pet’s cardiology records, please contact us via phone (before March 27, 2025) or send an email to recordsgcvc@gmail.com (this email will be checked weekly until March 27, 2028).
If your pet has been seen by GCVC within the past year and is in need of prescription refills for their cardiac medication(s), please contact us via phone or email gcvetcardio@gmail.com before March 27, 2025 and indicate the address you would like the prescription(s) mailed to. If you obtain your pet’s cardiac medications from our online pharmacy (Blue Rabbit), you may continue to request refills through that platform until March 27, 2026. Please note that, legally, refills can only be provided up to 1 year from the date of your pet’s last exam with GCVC.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your pet’s life. If you have any questions or need assistance during this transition, please do not hesitate to reach out.
